Hobocans
@felixlieb from Germany tweeted me this: http://www.smokinghookahs.com/theunit.htmlIts $110 but looks really well engineered. My worry is that changing coals looks like a problem, especially with the AlCu guard around the coal. AlCu wont conduct heat like steel, but it still will heat up on you. Also, having a bespoke bowl like that means that switching heads is a problem, unless you buy their specific bowl. But the seals all look really good and the whole thing is designed to be unbreakable. I bet it smokes great. Pretty cool looking too. Has anyone tried one?If anyone else is on Twitter, mine is @HoboHookah. Definitely want to follow more hookah smokers on there. mattarios2
I saw these, haven't tried one, looks cool, but id rather spend 50-100 on a km or mz.They are new so I doubt any one has tried one yet, may be a few weeks before we see any reviews. They do look sturdy and well built though. We won't really know for sure until people have them in their hands.

ih303
That looks real nice. Price isn't bad either compared to other ultra-modern hookahs.Looks like a hassle, though. No tray, it says you have to light the coals with the chimney on. That would limit you to QL's. Definately a case of fashion over function. Company Stooge
Seeing a lot of hate here for this hookah. FORTUNATELY I didn't read this before ordering one. Shipping took roughly 10 days, so I received mine yesterday. Total cost was around $135USD. Got a chance to smoke it last night and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't light the coal on the hookah itself, but rather used a Starbuzz Quick Light Coal and sparked it on tinfoil, then transferred it to the hookah. It pulled almost immediately, within 2-3 hits every time (3 bowl packs total). Each pack / coal lasted around 50 minutes with three people smoking on it. My biggest surprise was how easy it was to clean. This is my first hookah and everyone I talked to who owns one complains about cleaning it. I was able to clean the Unit 2.0 within 5 minutes using a sink and some warm running water. Now, I've never used a purge before so I can't comment on the lack of one, but I can say I highly enjoyed smoking this hookah and can't wait to again. Edited May 9, 2012 by mushrat This was posted by someone from the company who was banned for being a shill, ignore it.
Bulldog_916
Any hookah cleans up in 5 minutes or less. That isnt a selling point. Any hookah pulls well after about 3 pulls. That isnt a selling point.Any other hookah can last hours and hours. You gotta wait for that thing to cool down to even touch the little coal windcover dildo thing on the top. That's a downside with the Unit.Price is the nail in it for me. $135 on the hookah with no upside justifying the price point is a sad attempt to me. Company Stooge
Wasn't trying to sell anything Just saying that as a first time owner it was simple to use and enjoyable. In my opinion the selling point in this hookah is the aesthetics. As for the heat issue with the parts, not much of a problem as long as you've got a small piece of cloth or something laying around. Also, my tongs have a poker which is great for removing the cover and coal tray.
dizzbizz
I was reading the instructions on the bottom of thepage and you insert the bowl. I wonder if you could get a egyptian and use that instead? Might look funky though.

It just doesnt seem to be any easier or more asthetically pleasing than any other hookah out there.
mushrat
QUOTE Light on the coal. If possible use a jet-stream lighter, because it has a hooter flame.Gotta look out for flaming hooters!
